Installing SteamTools

Install SteamTools first. This is what makes your downloaded game file appear in your library.

Downloading a game

Once SteamTools is installed, you can download the Lua file for the game you want and add it properly.

  1. Open the search page.
  2. Search for the game you want.
  3. Open the game page.
  4. Click Download Lua File.
  5. Follow any extra instructions shown for that game.
  6. Open SteamTools and add the game.
  7. A floating grey Steam icon should appear.
  8. Drag the lua file onto the icon.
  9. Right click icon, restart Steam.
  10. Game should appear on your game list if it doesnt clear your download cache.
TIP
If a game supports an Online Fix, use the Online Fix button on that game page to open the installation popup.

Removing a game

If you want to remove a game later, follow the removal process clearly so it is easy to undo changes.

  1. Download and run your game remover tool.
  2. Select the Steam directory.
  3. Retrieve the correct App ID.
  4. Remove the game from the library.
  5. Restart Steam if needed.
